Who Is Marc-André Côté?
A graduate in photographic techniques from Collège du Vieux Montréal and holder of a bachelor's degree in illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology, Marc-André Côté taught in the photography department at Collège du Vieux Montréal from 1985 to 2020. Now retired, he seizes every opportunity to expand his image collection during his travels throughout Quebec and abroad.
Nature photography is his way of sharing his passion for natural beauty, allowing us, in these hectic times, to pause and look at what we all miss by living life at full speed. When he’s in the city, he frames people within their surroundings through his glass eye, imagining himself a unique witness to the strange and fleeting way of life of the Homo sapiens family. Whether in nature or urban photography, Marc-André always brings an anthropological perspective — a desire to preserve images of our era for future generations.
